I received my BS degree in Chemistry from Lanzhou University in 1988, MS and PhD degrees from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1991 and 1994, respectively. After postdoctoral work at the North Dakota State University and University of Virginia, I started as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the College of Staten Island-City University of New York in 2000, and became an Associate Professor in 2005 and Professor in 2008.
My research focuses on development of new ligands/catalysts and new reactions for organic synthesis including biologically active compound synthesis and polymer synthesis.
